Abstract
P.S. Rijken and his collaborators, (University of Utrecht) selected a different event in the EGF-induced A431 response, i. e. the redistribution of EGF-receptors in the plasma membrane. In this case, a comparison between flight and ground samples showed differences, although the results cannot be considered conclusive.

Results
Previously, the influence of gravity alterations on epidermal growth factor induced cell rounding has been investigated. Simulated weightlessness was found to enhance EGF-induced cell rounding significantly (4). Assuming that this observation originates from one or more events in the molecular circuitry responsible for the signal perception and .... (full text)
