- NLR operates two laboratory aircraft (Swearingen Metro II and
a Cessna Citation) for studies of flight test equipment and complete
systems in flight, and moving base flight simulators that can
be equipped with a double-seat or a single-seat cockpit for
laboratory simulation of civil and military aircraft. NLR
studies avionics systems, ground based systems and their
interactions.
